Youth Programs at Rotary Botanical Gardens

Rotary Botanical Gardens hosts various structured programs that give kids a chance to reconnect with nature, stimulate their senses, express themselves creatively, and have fun!

Each of our programs has been restructured in 2009 to accommodate school curriculum changes, incorporate nutrition education, and expand the range of grades participating.

OUR MOST POPULAR PROGRAM CONTINUES‐ COME CELEBRATE SPRING AT ROTARY BOTANICAL GARDENS

After a long, cold winter and summer break looming, Rotary Botanical Gardens is a popular end‐of‐year retreat for students and teachers! Indoor education stations review the parts of the plant, how plants grow and the parts of the plant we eat! Outdoors, explore the gardens, practice observation skills, and enjoy the fresh air.

Registration is now ongoing.

Youth Education: How birds make a living

Our youth education program, How birds make a living has been my favorite of all the programs we do!  It’s a great mix of hands-on activity and scientific exploration.  I wish we had this when I was growing up.

The education volunteers have made a few tweaks to include the students making suet bird feeders and a bird observation station, sponsored by Dr. Yahr.
