A Youthful Infusion

We had a very cold start to this morning with temperatures around 15 degrees F.  It warmed up to a balmy 32 degrees F but at least there was very little wind and it was a nice sunny day.  The cold weather didn’t keep our volunteers from Oakhill Christian School (Janesville, WI) from coming to help out this morning (see top photo).  Kath (the teacher in orange) brought 26 students to help with cutting back perennials and collecting leaves.  The group did a great job and were kept in action by Janice and Kathy P.

Cindy, John, Terry, Larry H. and I all had various duties ranging from Holiday Light Show (HLS) preparations to gardening.  Other volunteers today included Urban (pruning), Steve, John J. (HLS work), Bill O. and some others.
