Let your senses be filled as you serenely stroll through the Gardens. Your eyes taking in the beauty of the foliage and your ears hearing the melodic notes of harp, violin, flute, and other live classical instruments as they immerse the Gardens in the world’s best-loved classics.
Admission is free for Rotary Botanical Gardens members; for non-members, the concert series is included with the general admission fee.

Performing in the Sunken Gardens
The Rockford Wind Ensemble’s mission is to promote creative and healthy communities by enriching lives through music performance, music education, and artistic growth. “We are pleased to be a part of this inaugural music series at Rotary Gardens as they also continue to enrich our community through live music!”
Performing in the English Gardens
Spring Night Flutes is a trio of professional flutists from Madison, WI who take joy in sharing their artistry with audiences of all ages. Known for programs featuring a wide range of musical genres, showcasing the full range of instruments in the flute family, and incorporating eclectic gems for the modern ear, Berlinda Lopez, Kristen Davies, and Barbara Paziouros Roberts continue to entertain and inspire.
Performing on the Observation Deck
Martha Morehart holds a Master’s in applied viola from Ohio University, and a Bachelor’s in applied viola from Houghton University (NY) She has performed in community orchestras throughout the Midwest and most recently in the Beloit Janesville Symphony. Martha is a big believer in the uplifting power of music both for the performer and the listener, so she keeps up a regular schedule of playing solos and chamber music in churches, schools and at gatherings. She also maintains a private string studio for students preschool through adult, where she blends Suzuki and traditional pedagogy. “Music has been my lifelong friend,” Martha says. “Whether I’m alone of with others, music comforts me, calms me dawn and fires me up! Music makes the day better.”
