Halloween Walk

The Halloween Walk this early evening seemed very well attended!  We had great volunteer help and it was nice to see all the neat costumes and little ones coming through the gardens to collect candy and engage in some fun at the Parker Education Center.  We utilized some of the Holiday Light Show (HLS) elements like the luminaries along the paths and some select features of the show for both illumination and to encourage folks to come back for the HLS.  Speaking of the HLS and associated set-up, our grounds staff of Larry H., Big John, Terry, Bobby K. and I all had a full day of preparations.  LP Tree Service (seen above) started hanging their many hundreds of dangling icicle lights and we appreciate both John R. and Vic (of LP) doing such a nice job on this project as usual.  John J. and Steve L. were back in action with the bow and arrow combination to put up lights in those harder to reach locations.  We appreciate all the help!  Our volunteer gardening help today consisted of Kathy P., Eva, Sandi, Myrt, Gena, Nancy, Bill O., Tim, Bonnie, Jenny and some others.  We also saw Vern, Maury, Laura B. and many others on this lovely day.
