Very Autumn-Like Garden

Today was overcast with some drizzle to start the morning but the sun appeared briefly later in the day. While it was a breezy and cool day, it was quite pleasant to be out in the gardens. Nice shot of ‘Dark Beauty’ toadlily (Tricyrtis formosana) blooming here in the woodland walk garden. We had a busy day out in the gardens with Larry H., Cindy, Bobby K. and I doing work associated with setting up the Holiday Light Show (HLS). Ibhar worked primarily on clearing plants as did Bob K. and Eva. Urban was in for some pruning and Dr. Gredler was out mowing. Cathy and Josh E. were in too as were Vern, Maury, Bill O. and Dick H. We also saw John J. who will be helping shortly with the HLS set up. It continues to be a busy time of year although even as we clear garden spaces of plants after some recent frosts, there is no shortage of interest out there for those with a discerning eye!
