Visit to CBG

After checking in with the grounds staff on Monday morning, I headed east to enjoy the Chicago Botanic Garden (CBG) throughout the day.  I had a meeting later in the evening as I’m on a committee helping plan the national conference for the Perennial Plant Association (PPA) which will be coming to the Chicago area next summer.  It looks like we’ll get some of those folks to visit RBG as part of a bus tour.  Aside from some surprise rain (not predicted) that drenched me in the early afternoon, I spent a solid six hours exploring the entire gardens and catching late season interest.  Nice shot above of ‘Ultraviolet’ water lily (Nymphaea) and plenty of other photos from my assortment of over 1300!
