This 2-part class will begin with a moss garden presentation that includes the biology of mosses, basic cultural information, and introduces ways moss can be used in various garden settings.
Then, participants will be shown the moss garden at RBG where Dale will lead a hands-on moss garden maintenance experience for participants to help improve RBG’s Moss Garden!
Note: Participants should expect to spend most of the time on kneeling pads amongst the mosses. The outdoor portion will require using whisk brooms, fingers, and knives to approve the appearance of the moss.
Please bring a whisk broom if you have one. All other materials will be provided.
