Kombucha is a healthy habit, and drinking it regularly has many benefits. But if you love kombucha and purchase it at the store, your pocketbook probably feels the effect of paying retail price. The convenience of packaged kombucha brands comes at a steep cost!
What you may not know is that kombucha is easy and very affordable to make at home. All you need are a few basic ingredients, some imagination, and, most importantly, a scoby.
Learn what all this means and how to start making your own “booch” at home during this 90-minute class, held in cooperation with Rotary Botanical Gardens. The class covers all the necessities and techniques to confidently create your own continuous brew. All attendees receive handouts, a step-by-step guide, and a starter scoby.
Katie Kuznacic, a.k.a The Booch Witch, started making kombucha in her kitchen in the spring of 2017. She’s enjoyed the ritual ever since and saved thousands of dollars in the process. She enjoys bringing new DIY self-care techniques to those who seek that balance.
A Wisconsin native, Katie and her husband, Eric, live in Janesville. She works in higher education and enjoys walking in the woods, gardening, going barefoot, and being in the kitchen.
