This early literacy series is a themed one-hour program that includes a half-hour story time and a half-hour of activities, games and crafts related to that session’s theme. The programs are held outside in the Gardens, when weather allows, and moved indoors in the event of rain.
Story and Stroll is held on the first Wednesday of the month May-June & August-October. Story and Stroll themes are posted on Facebook at least a week before each program.
We will continue to offer a take-home item or activity that is related to the sessions theme. This allows children to express their creativity in new and exciting ways and will also reinforce early literacy concepts introduced during the live programming.
Participants are welcome to explore the Gardens before or at the end of the program. No additional Garden admission fee applies.
If you are looking for more information on our Story and Stroll themes, policies, or procedures, please contact our Education Coordinator, Delaney Sherwood, at 608.314.8415.
Pre-registration is open to all, but is only required for groups of 6 or more. However, all families and groups are encouraged to sign-up in advance.
